Expansion

So I started a thing yesterday. I joined a coaching group on social media. You may have seen it on Facebook. It was sponsored by Jay Shetty, an amazing motivational speaker. I have been following him for awhile and when the opportunity arose…I jumped! You may have even been online during the live session. It was an amazing hour of my day!! What made it so phenomenal was that there are over 150,000 people who have joined this particular group. And almost 10,000 of us were online at the same time….. for an hour!! We all had our own reasons. That’s not the point. The point is that I realized that I am not alone. It was inspiring and humbling to feel the energy of the group - people from all walks of life, all corners of the world. We were all there looking to become our best selves. We were all looking to connect; to find meaning and purpose.

I am validated by this. It’s scary starting a website - opening up for the world to see. Sharing my thoughts, ideas, and dreams. Judgement is everywhere. But I was reminded yesterday that - more often than not - we are all just looking for the same thing. (Well, at least 150,000 of us!) We are looking to find where we belong. To see that our experiences and feelings are normal. To open our circle.
